Silicon Valley International School, Menlo Park, California

Silicon Valley International School in Menlo Park, California, has upgraded its gymnasium with a new Junckers sports floor, creating a high-performance playing surface for students and athletes.

The existing sports tile surface was replaced with approximately 4,524 sq. ft. of Junckers Clip flooring in Beech Classic. A key requirement for the project was a low-profile flooring system that could be installed quickly while still providing the performance, comfort and protection needed for a busy school sports facility.

The new floor is designed to accommodate a variety of sports, including basketball, volleyball, and futsal/indoor soccer. To give the gymnasium a distinctive and personal identity, the floor was completed with a detailed custom school logo at centre court.

The finished result has transformed the gymnasium both visually and functionally. The school was particularly pleased with the quality of the installation and the way the project team responded to feedback throughout the process.
