Located in Jaramoe Park, Dongtan 2 New Town, the Hyundai Motors HQ features a purpose-built theatre space designed for presentations, events, and large-scale internal gatherings. The project combines precise architectural detailing with materials selected for both performance and visual consistency.

A Junckers solid hardwood floor in oak, classic grade with an ultramatt finish was specified throughout the auditorium and stage areas. The choice was driven by two key considerations. Firstly, the natural tone of oak aligns closely with the wider interior palette, creating a cohesive and balanced aesthetic across walls, stage, and flooring. Secondly, the floor needed to accommodate the significant point loads and movement associated with a telescopic seating system.

Junckers’ solid hardwood construction provides the required structural stability and load-bearing capacity, making it well suited to this type of flexible auditorium environment. The pre-finished ultramatt surface offers a low-reflective appearance under stage lighting while supporting straightforward maintenance over time.

The result is a durable, visually unified space that supports both daily use and high-capacity events, without compromising on material quality or long-term performance.
